Travel Info at least 5 please... Travel Tips Skagen, northernmost tip of Denmark Arhus, university town on Jutland Odense: HC Anderson's house Copenhagen-- Nyhavn: the harbour Tivoli: a bit touristy, gardens and amusement Stroget (I can't make the Danish characters on this computer): pedestrian waking area Amielenborg castle: royal family Helsingborg castle: Hamlet's castle There's also Legoland on Jutland if you have kids. Source(s): Lived in Denmark Other Travel Tips The west coast. Skagen. Himmelbjerget ("sky mountain"). Bornholm. Mols bjerge ("hills of Mols"). Have a look at this site: http://www.visitdenmark.com for more information on Denmark. http://www.visitdenmark.com -Str酶get in Copenhagen. It's, how do I call it, a collection of streets, with LOTS of shops and stores. It's my first choice to go shopping, and I go there ALL the time. I love the atmosphere out there, it's just great. -Field's. It's a mall, and I go there if it's cold and raining, and would prefer not walking outside on Str酶get. It's the biggest mall in Scandinavia, so it's just, shop away! -Fisketorvet. A mall too. Also one of the biggest ones. -The Little Mermaid. A statue in Copenhagen that you just need to visit if your a tourist in Denmark. It's "based" on the story which is called, surprisingly "The Little Mermaid" written by danish author HC Andersen. -Parken. It's a stadium, and I'm only mentioning it, because FC Copenhagen (soccer team) plays there, and I'm a huge fan of them. So, you need to go and see a game by them, and you'll be amazed by them to. Actually, they were in Champions League this year.... Yeah okay, too much sports talk. -And then, I don't know, you could see the Amalien Borg. It's a castle and it's the royale family who lives in there, so I dunno, it's interesting? No actually, it's boring. I should stop talking. And insulting a castle. I live in Denmark. So I sorta know these things... ~ Nyhavn - very beautiful, and is about as Danish as it gets. ~ The Marble Church (Even if you're not religious it is an amazing building, really beautful, and very peaceful) ~ Skagen - the light there is very unique, and it is absolutely beautiful. ~ Tivoli - It is a bit expensive, but it is very beautiful, both during the summer with all the flowers, and during winther after dark, with all the lights and Christmas decorations everywhere. ~ Assistentskirkeg氓rden - it's a cemetary that is also being used as a park. It is really beautiful, with graves that are hundreds of years old. It's a great place for a picnic, and also to walk around and look at the graves. A lot of famous people are burried there, including H. C. Andersen. it mights sound a bit morbid, but it really is just a peaceful place, with lots og huge trees, plants, flowers... and gravestones :-) |
