I plan on moving soon, what is the best town to live in in Michigan? |
Travel Info If you want give me a reason why!! Travel Tips If you want a city that has a big city feel but not the crime and depression that is associated with Detroit then look into Grand Rapids. It's Michigan's 2nd largest city - with a large art's community. It's less than an hour drive away from the lakeshore, so if you want to take in the beauty of the big lake you don't have far to drive, yet you would be living close enough that you won't have to pay the high cost of living on the lake. Saugatuck, Holland, Muskegon, Ludington, St. Joe etc. are nice towns but very expensive to live in. If the big city is not your cup of tea, there are several smaller towns you could consider. Kalamazoo, Plainwell, Otsego, Martin or even Homer, Shelbyville or Orangeville if you want tiny villages. It's all in the matter of your preference. Others A town that you like Flat Rock MI, I am from across the border in Canada and had a girlfriend who lived there. Great Small Town, not too far from the Big City if you have reasons to be going to Detroit (ie- work) opinion davison plymouth! its not far from detroit and it is sooooo cute! they have a little downtown area with cute shops and they have a market and festivals there in the summer and then in the winter, they have thing like ice sculpture festivals and stuff! it is a really cute little town and i love it! my aunt and my cousins live there and i was born in livonia, so i have visited quite a few times and considered moving there myself. |
