Actually I have traveled to another state to meet someone I met on the Internet, though I was already planning to vacation there before we decided to met up. Though I should pass on the words of wisdom that was given to me and I am sure you have already considered. Meet in a public place and do not let them know exactly where you will be staying. Also, do not leave your drink alone with them and try not to drink anything that will put you in a vulnerable state. It's really common sense things that should be used when you start seeing anyone you just met. The only difference is you will be in their territory and a bit more vulnerable so use a little more caution.
