Travel Tips there is a lot to do. been there twice within a year and planning to back in the spring. outback safari is the best. if you go take some school supplies with you to give to the kids at the school. their eyes light up like it is Christmas!! we enjoyed going snorkeling. went para sailing had fun and i am afraid of heights. my husband and my son went ATV tour they had fun. my daughter and i went to San Domingo. wonderful sight seeing but not much time to shop. we just had fun playing in the ocean and walking on the beach. if you book thru apple vacation and they have information on trips and things to do. Source(s): my experience Other Travel Tips I have been to DR twice last year. It is amazing - I have already booked my trip back for Jan 2007. You must go on an excursion called Outback Safari. It is absolutely amazing! Part of the cost is donated to needy families in the DR. You do many things on this day tour. Meet a real Dominican family at their home, boogey board in Cabarete, so many things to list...here. There is a city tour of Puerto Plata as well that you might enjoy...I am going to venture out more this trip so when I return at the end of Jan 2007 I might have more ideas. www.outbacksafari.com.do you should go to Punta Cana or Santo Domingo. over there is really beautiful. I'm going back to Puerto Plata again later this year.
