Others Everywhere in edinburgh is expensive simply beacuse it is the capital city. Try Stirling - just next door practically & slightly cheaper. If you want a really cheap place to stay then try one of the numerous backpacker hostels in the city centre. If your budget extends a bit further or you can stay outside the city centre then try a bed & breakfast establishment. The cheapest hotels start at around 拢60 per night. A travel lodge or travel inn are brilliant offering great facilities very clean and very central i'd advise these to anyone! I've stayed in varied ones quite a few times i've been in edinburgh! I'd advise on 3 per room in th travel lodge though. Excellent value for as cheap as 拢45 per night! including brekkie! www.travellodge.com many gud hotels in princess street.nice n clean OK, so there are not too many 'cheap' places in Edinburgh. But if u mean by not too expensive not needing a mortgage to stay there then there are plenty places in edinburgh to stay. You need to take the number 3 bus from the bus stop on Princess street just outside the rail station. That will take u down a very long street that is lined with hundreds of B&B's and you can look at which ones you like there. Alternativly, if it's high season i.e the festival then get in touch with the tourist office in Princess street before you go and ask them for advice. They may offer you a hotel a bit out of the way but the bus system in edinburgh is really good. |
