Per-hapi-on (the river house of On), the port of Heliopolis. Mispronounced and became known as Babylon. Lower Egypt: Heracleopolis until it was defeated by the Thebans during a civil war making Thebes the capital.
I thought Sais --Metelis. Abydos and Memphis are the sanctuary cities
