Mexico to El Salvador. Should i do it alone? |
Travel Info I was born in El Salvador but now live in Australia. I am returning back to my homeland for the first time in 5 years and the first time by myself. I am planning on staying for 3 months. I'm a 21 year old male, and speak fluent spanish. I was thinking about possibly going to Mexico City and working my way down through Belize, Guatemala and Honduras, before eventually reaching El Salvador (estimated the trip to take me 1 month max) Although i have put alot of thought into doing this trip, i am still not sure about traveling by myself. I will not be driving, but rather taking normal buses and taxis. I wish to see the Aztec and Mayan ruins. I have spoke to some family members in El Salvador, and they have told me that it would be best for me to go staright to El Salvador and then make my way up and around the surrounding countries. Or to take direct city buses from Mexico City to Belmopan to Guatemala City and then to San Salvador. What should i do? Is it safe to do it alone? |
