Travel Info As a malawian citizen and a malawian passport, do I need a visa to travel to ireland or jersey? Travel Tips You have not stated if you mean Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. I assume that you mean the Republic. The page http://www.oasis.gov.ie/moving_country/p... states which countries do not need tourist visas to visit Ireland. Those people usually just need a passport, return ticket and proof of sufficient funds to sustain them during their visit. If you want to check for sure then maybe contact the nearest Irish embassy to you. If you are in Malawi, there is an Irish Embassy in Lusaka, which I imagine is accredited to Malawi. I don't think there is any Irish embassy in Malawi itself. There is no Malawi embassy in Ireland. The Malawi High Commission in London is accredited to Ireland as well. Irish citizens do not need visas to visit Malawi (just for information for you) I cant say anything about Jersey...I know that they are not technically in the UK and have their own autonomous government...so the rules may differ to those of the UK Source(s): www.oasis.gov.ie and Personal information. Other Travel Tips check www.oasis.gov.ie it has a lot of information about travelling to Ireland. or ring the Irish embassy in Malaysia, they should know, but as far as I know you wont need one if you are only going for a short period of time. It's better to check up though, as I'm not 100% sure. |
