Jordan is in the middle east. Its capital is Amman. It is mostly desert and is ruled by Bedouins. Some of the landscapes are awesome. Lorens of Arabia was filmed there. There is the wadi Rum and Petra Jerash. The place is full of History and Mythology and the Jordanian people are wonderful. I lived in the middle east for 17 years and believe me I know what I'm talking about.
