Travel Info Would you ever visit/work in Libya, or know anybody work/visit recently, How do you/they find out? Travel Tips Why not. Liba is our brotherly muslim country. People are polite and honest. Not cheater. Every body is welcomed there. Others No I would never visit or work in Libya because I don't know anyone there. I would visit out of curiosity. It's a mysterious place, and there has been quite a bit of negative press about Gaddafi. Of course, the only way to see the other side is to visit. I've heard that visitors are treated well. Libya is also one of the most liberal Muslim countries in the world (still probably rather conservative by Western standards though). I visited Libya for three days about a month ago. Spent some time out in the desert and also in the city of Tripoli. The people were very friendly and I had a good time. There are a lot of great historical sites to see. I dont' know that I'd want to live there - their standard of living isn't as high as it is in the US and their political system isn't as free. They do have a high literacy rate and the vast majority of the country has electricity. I would definitely go back to visit again. visit no problem but work no way i prefer to stay in the middle east.. :) |
