A few suggestions: a) Take a short plane flight to the mayan ruins of Tikal (in Guatemala). b) Go river rafting in western Belize near the mayan mountains. Check out the eco lodges in the area. c) Visit the zoo. d) Visit the cayes (Ambergris more developed, Caulker less so) and dive, snorkel or just hang out. e) Go cave inner tubing at Jaguar Paw Resort (and hike in the Jungle). f) See the whale sharks off the Placencia/Gladden Spit area (certain times of year). g) Stay at the Banana Bank Ranch and enjoy the stars, the river and the wildlife. h) Check out Belize City... i) Go caving... |
