Best cruise in mediterranean? For a honeymoon? |
Travel Info I've been to Europe before, but Germany and Scotland, but not my fiance. We are looking for SITES and specific suggestions for Cruise lines to take a tour of sites in europe in October. Because it's October, I'm thinking the Mediterranean might be a better choice than the Netherlands. Any help given would be great! Travel Tips just got back from a Med. cruise for my honeymoon. Went on Celebrity Cruise's Galaxy for 10 days to the following cities: Civitavecchia/Rome, Naples, Mykonos Greece, Santorini Greece, Sicily, Nice, Genoa. Cities we liked: Greece was the best! Also liked Nice and the Pompeii/Vesucvius tour in Naples. Genoa (went to Portofino) was nice, too. Could do without: Sicily. town of Naples and Genoa. the cruise ship was nice. extremely efficient with excursions/embarkation/disemba... average age was 50-55+. entertainment was dedicated to that demographic. good food (only 1 midnite buffet, though). ship looked really outdated. Would do Celebrity again, just a different ship. Would also try RC or another higher end. Next time we'll also include Spain, if possible. If you do this itinerary - make sure you spend an extra couple days in Rome. best places to look for deals: iCruise. possibly Costco or cruise lines' sites. Others i麓ve cruised with celebrity cruises too, i could really recomend them to you |
