What is the Cheapest way to fly to Europe during the summer? |

Travel Tips For the past fifteen years I have traveled all over the world and have found the cheapest way to fly is 鈥渟tand-by.鈥?Most airlines do not fill to capacity and therefore have no problem making a reasonable deal with you if you ask. You must be flexible and very patient. 1. Decide what airline has the most flights into or near your destination of choice. 2. Take your place in the ticket line and ask the desk attendant if you can be placed on an immediate stand-by list. 3. Let the attendant know you are readily available i.e. within 20 minutes national or 45 minutes international, your exact plans and that you are able to pay x-amount for the trip. I usually offer $100 round trip within the continental United States and $250 for Europe. 4. Be patient and make yourself comfortable. I once waited 11 hours for a flight, but I have always been lucky. Another way is to place an ad online e.g. craigslist.org, or any local online newspaper that offers free advertisements. Try iceland air, martin air, delta, Or fly with Singapore Air to Germany. From Amsterdam many low cost airlines fly, such as berlin air, transavia, ryan air and easyjet. Note that many low cost airlines fly to secondary airports i.e. note close to the city. Try a charter flight. Also, consider going slightly earlym in the springtime to avoid the peak season.
