Which European tour guide groups are the best bang for your buck? |
Travel Info I would like to know what companies offer the most for my money and preferably one that doesn't allow kickbacks. Any ideas where I could find out? Travel Tips Are you looking for a tour that takes you to Europe or a tour guide within Europe? Each city has local companies that you can buy individual tours from if you are interested. I went on a group tour with a company to Paris. I have often traveled with friends, but it was very convenient to have the travel details arranged and the excursions planned. The group I went with did not include the airfare, which allowed me to use frequent flyer miles. I went to Paris in April 2005. Not knowing French and being wary of the Parisian attitude, it was nice to be with a group and have French speakers able to take care of things. I used http://www.ubiquityinternational.com... and the money was well worth it. They are comparable to other "cheaper" groups when you consider that they have expert guides (people with advanced education and training) and the fees include travel insurance and other benefits not included by other companies. The groups are also smaller (usually around 15). Source(s): Personal experience. Other Travel Tips Yahoo Travel may have some ideas. Organized tours are horrible. I once went with Globus and we spent more time in gift shops than anything else. It is much more exciting, cheaper, and easier to do you it own your own. |
