We're going to Norway. I am allergic to soy, dairy, yeast. And no MSG. What can I eat? And where? |
Travel Info In order to eat out at home I generally have only a baked potato and carry olive oil with me. Sometimes a restaurant will help me identify items which have none of my allergens/triggers. If I can't eat out in Norway will there be grocery stores where I can buy plain raw fruit and veggies? We'll be there 10 days. What about labelling in Norway? Anything like here in US? Can anyone tell me the words for dairy, soy, yeast, MSG? Do most people in the service industry speak English? We'll be in Oslo, Bergen and Voss from 17May2006 - 26May2006. TIA! smiley Travel Tips Norweigian food has lots of seafood. You can try having seafood specifically cooked with no soy, dairy or yeast. All supermarkets should sell seafood. Others Norwegians tend to speak better english than native english speakers so you're safe there. Fruit and vegetables are widely available, but v pricey, as is all food. You won't have any problems- just ask if in doubt... |
