Moving to Norway. Helpful suggestions? |
Travel Info I am a nurse and want to move to Norway. I would foot the bill of moving myself. Does anyone have any helpful hints on moving or tips I might use when I get there? Thanks. Travel Tips I've been to Norway and my wife's family is from there, so I feel like I know the country a bit. I would think that as far as moving goes, you would want to go as simple as possible. I doubt you would HAVE to ship everything by air, but it may be the most logical way for it to go from A to B. If you've never been, I think it's a marvelous country. Winter's a bit tough, but boy, is it nice country. I found the people very pleasant (I even married one!). I only knew a few words and a phrase or two of Norse, but never had difficulty understanding or being understood--even when they didn't speak English, which was rare. It won't take long to pick up the language, especially if you're trying to learn it. Others That's going to cost a lot! You would have to have everything airshipped over, and that could take weeks, so in the mean time, you should stay in a hotel there and get aquainted with the people before you have to spend all that time moving in. by lots of fur coats, i heard that it is very cold over there |
