Travel Info Tell me about Vendee area of france? Travel Tips It's a very calm part of France, a great place to relax. Many French take long vacations there to rest. If you're looking for interesting and unique things to do, it might not be the best part of France. Well it is a department on the west coast, south of Brittany and north of the Charante/Poitou department. I went there for holidays as a kid and can remember excellent beaches at places such as Les Sable d'Olonne and a mild sunny climate. Like most of France it is a mixture of culture in respect of castles, abbeys and the like. It also provides sport both land and sea. It's attractions over Brittany are that it is quieter with less tourists and more French people holiday there as a result. |
