Travel Info Wine tours in south france which is the best location? Travel Tips http://www.chateaufoodandwinetours.com/f... Others burgundy bordeaux loire valley Bandol, in Provence You have many to choose from... Champagnes are around Reims and Epernay...(east of Paris) Vins d'Alsace, Alsatian white wines around Strasbourg. (near the german border) Bordeaux wines along the Atlantic coast near the city of Bordeaux. Burgundy wines between Dijon, Chalon, and M芒con. Beaujolais wines in the Rh么ne Valley (the area near Lyon). Vins de Provence from Orange, Avignon south to Aix en Provence (one of the most famous is Chateuneuf du Pape). The best (to my taste) would be the Beaujolais...because not only would you have the winecountry to enjoy, you would also have the best cuisine in France! Many of the most famous french chefs are from the area around Lyon... (Paul Bocuse is an example). Try this website for some info: www.lyon-france.com I would fly to Bergerac (for example) rent a car and drive all the way to the coast line following the River la Dordogne and stay for a day or 2 in some of the wonderful towns along the road. The food is excellent, and the wine is a treat .... with a car you can discover some hidden places which worth a drive... I advised you Saint Emilion near Bordeaux. It's a very famous place in my country. Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Valley of Loire, Alsace, ... more details at http://wwww.c-lafrance.com/ |
