I want to visit lourdes for 2 days, which is the cheapest way to travel there from London (gatwick)? Thanks? |
Travel Info I would like to travel in November(20th). Please let me know how to go there as i cant find direct routes. Dont mind hitch hiking a bit. Travel Tips My recommandation : Fly with easyjet to Toulouse Airport (book from http://www.easyjet.com/en/book/index.asp... : some flight at 拢3.99 one way from Gatwick ! ; you have some airport tax to pay). From Toulouse you may then take a train, coach or even hitch hike to Lourdes. http://www.voyages-sncf.com/dynamic/_svh... is the link for you to book for the train. Inofrmation on Lourdes can be found here http://hautes-pyrenees.c-lafrance.com/lo... Last tip : If you are a student you are entitled to benefit offers from the OTU (Office de Tourisme Universitaire). Unfortunately their site is in French, but I also give you the link http://www.otu.fr/ Others The quickest would be the train (TGV) but I don't know how much it is. The train is definately the best bet. I travelled with my mom across france for 100 euro...I was cheaper cause I was a student. I also took it from Grenoble to Annecy to Geneve and back to Grenoble for a grand total of about 50 euro. Its cheap, especially if you book online. One website is eurail.com the other has to do with TGV but I can't remember it. Hi from France ! Take the train, Check out : www.voyages-sncf.com Have a nice day and welcome to France ! Catherine. |
