Travel Tips
it's possible, there is a direct train . You must go to Tour gare and you arrive at Lyon Part Dieu . the schedule is ( just one train per day in the moment ) :
departure of Tour :5:04 pm and arrived at Lyon Part Dieu at 9:57 pm. Attention this schedule isn't the same for all year.
You can to look at : www.voyages-sncf.com

Others
Train via Paris is probably the quickest and easiest way, given the French system of TGV (high-speed trains), the routes mostly radiate from Paris.
There is not a coach network like National Express (UK) or Greyhound (US) in France, nor a direct motorway route, so travelling 460 km or so across country could take most of a day.
You may be able to make a connection at Orl茅ans rather than going all the way into Paris, but it's likely to actually take longer as at least part of the journey would be on slower trains.
Check on http://www.sncf.fr for French railway services and connections.
