Travel Info Have you ever been in France? What does it looks like? Did you like it? Should I go? Travel Tips You can find any kind of place in France. All depends on what you want to do. Montains, Cities, See, Fine food, Extreme Sports, Castels, Natural Parks, .... whatever you want to do. I'm French and can tell you where to go, depending on your objectives. If you don't know now what to do, I suggest that you start of courses by Paris. So many variants and places can be visited afterwards. But Paris worth the trip itself. Also, I would like to tell to the person, who mention that Paris was not so clean and not so safe, that he's right in some places and it is very nice in other places. I have been several times in US and it is the same. No need to go far away to find dirty/Unsafe or very clean places in New York, Chicago and any other cities in the World. Please don't make so easy generalisations. Others No i have never been to france.I dont know what it looks like. I cant tell you wheter you should there go or not. I won a trip from Domino's Pizza when I was fresh out of college and went to Paris for 3 days (another 3 days was in London). It was a little dirty in the streets but the people were friendly enough. Its a once in a lifetime opportunity to go overseas so I would go. Just be careful and make sure you are aware of your surroundings! I have been and its a nice place, i went when i was 12 or so to calais but it was only for the day. It looks like anywhere else really apart from obvious diferences and id suggest it. I dont know why people say it smells i went there and it smelt perfectly normal. hi. I'm a Brit who now lives in France. The country is beautiful, the people friendly, but the red-tape involved with anything official drives me up the wall. It took 2 years to get my English car re-registered to French plates. I get other peoples bills sent to me, and they get mine. and.............. What am I saying...If you just want to visit here, then it's great. I am in a region of southern France, the wine is good, the veiws from my window are breathtaking and I can relax.Rush hour is 3 cars on the road at the same time. OH ENGLAND, how I DONT miss you. yes, it's a good place to visit. good transportation system. many good sites. good food. some people think the people aren't so friendly--not true. Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I've been there a few times and have enjoyed it. (gf has family there.) A couple things that I have found...better to go in the sping than in the fall. I've found the people to be more friendly to tourists in the spring. Try to speak French...it's VERY rude to go into another country and not try to communicate in their language. The metro has automated machines you can buy tickets from and they are in several languages - including English. The food is OK...some places are better than others. Because of the tourists, there is a problem with pick-pockets in tourist areas. Make sure your bag is always closed and keep your wits about you. In general though, the people are great and the country is beautiful. If you go, make sure to go to Versailles...you could spend 2 or 3 days there as well!!! Also, I've found that D'Orsay is the best museum there. |
