Travel to French Riviera? |
Travel Info My fiance and I want to go to the French Riviera for our honeymoon this August, but have no clue which city is the best to go to for culture and relaxation, what airport to fly into, where to stay, etc... Can anyone who has been to this region of France offer up some suggestions? Thanks! Travel Tips The Riviera is a fantastic region to visit. But in August it's overcrowded.I'd recommend to stay in a little resort instead of staying in a big city. Airport : Nice (that's the only one) Resort to stay : St-Jean Cap-Ferrat, Beaulieu, Villefranche sur Mer, Eze, Cap d'Ail Places to visit : Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, Menton, Eze, St-Paul de Vence,... Have a great time there ! Source(s): I live in Nice Other Travel Tips While technicaly not in france Monte carlo is a well known high class place. Also try Nice. Johan you can only fly into nice, i have been up and down the cote d azur, some places are very expensive along the coastline ,most are little towns except for nice and cannes and very eliteish,i suggest you think about your budget what you can afford then pick a town acorddingly use google to do your reseach Are you aware that everyone in Europe vacations in August and the coastal locations are overrun during this time? If you're interested in culture, August is a great time to go to Paris. Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the world. Wish you lots of happiness in your marriage. http://www.thetravelzine.com First you'll land in Nice Airport, I would suggest you stay in Antibes City, which is on the coast between Cannes and Nice (central town) plus it is beautifull, a lot of Cach茅, very clean, nice helpfull people, it is a cultural place. I swear if you go there you won't be disapointed ! |
