Is colombia really dangeroous?

Travel Info
I have heard from people that has been to Bogota that is great, and that I should go.

Travel Tips
It depends where you go. The big cities, especially Bogota and Cartagena are fine. Some smaller places are ok as well, such as Villa de Leyva. You can also go to Zona Cafatera no problem, very nice and safe there.

The road thru Medio Magdelena can be tricky (ie. not too safe at night), as can the roads in the outskirts of Cucuta.

In Bogota, just be careful when you go out late at night. Also, don't hail taxis on the street at night, call for one and get the keycode, so the cab you get in is the one that was actually dispatched to you.

Others
it's not dangerous so go to Bogota and enjoy urself.
If you go to large, populated cities then it would be much safer..but if you go to smaller towns if would be much more dangerous..
