Traveling between Italy and France Xmas time 2006? |
Travel Info I will arrive in Rome Dec. 17th this year and stay until Jan. 4th. I plan to spend time in both Italy and France and travel all around. What would be the best transport option? I'll meet my boyfriend either in France (where he lives) or Italy and travel to several cities together in both countries ending back at Rome to fly out. Traveling cheaply comes over traveling comfortably. Is it better to find a cheap flight to Paris to meet him and pay for other train rides individually. Or is the Europass a better deal if if we plan to go to many cities within the 2 weeks? Travel Tips If it turns out that you need to travel from Rome to France to meet your BF, flying is likely to be the cheapest way to go. When both of you are travelling together, don't overlook the possibility of renting a car so you can go wherever you want and see whatever sounds interesting. Good luck and have fun! Other Travel Tips get ideas from the movies Before Sunrise and Before Sunset flights are so cheap in Europe www.jet2.com www.easyjet.com www.ryanair.com I got a RT ticket to rome from london for less than $40 I like the Eurorail Pass, we had one for two months this last year, it's great because you can get to the train station and pick where ever you want to go right then, no having to plan ahead...it really frees up your time for fun travel. You will save a lot of money also if you go to a lot of different cities. train is a good options. u will enjoy the scenery as well Rome is cool!;) Try this website: http://www.routehunter.com it's very useful to find low cost airlines routes...
