How can i host a foreighn exchange student? |
Travel Info i would like to host a foreighn exchange student, how can i do that?how can i become a foreighn exchange student, specificaly and italian exchange student. Travel Tips Hi, You can check with your school and see if they have hosting programs. If they don't ask some of the language teachers if they know any local companies that do hosting exchanges. We had 5 exchange students over a 3 year period from Germany and it was a wonderful experience. It was done through our son's high school. He also went to Germany and made some wonderful friends. Because of his trip he went back 2 other times on his own to stay with his friends there. Good luck to you. Others Im sure it varies per region. Go to your local Board of Education and apply. I wanted to this myself, but love my hs and friends too much to leave, although Paris or Budapest sound lovely. Years ago, I did an exchange along with a group of high school students. I stayed in France for 10 months, and some of the others went to places like Spain, and Italy, The company I went with is called EF. Thier website is www.EF.com. Good Luck!
