Travel Info My husband just got his green card and he want me an american white woman to travel with him to his country. i love him and have been with him for 5 yrs and he provides for me and my 3 kids. he is pakistani. now with everything going on in the world,iam scared, plus he wants to marry me in pakistan. what are your views on it, would u go with your wife or husband. Travel Tips I wouldn't go and if you don't want to go and he really loves you he should understand. It seems to be dangerous in lots of other countries right now. Plus, you know how they hate americans. Others You will be walking into a trap, stay home. It's understandable that you are scared. You need to sit down with him and talk to him about your fears. You are husband and wife and you both need to consider each other's viewpoint and feelings to come to a solution. I know my husband would not force me to do anything that I was afraid of. If he will not listen, you might consider bringing in a mediator, maybe your pastor or a counselor. I would definately not take my kids to Pakistan - on that I would put my foot down. Asian countries offer you mixed future...while at India and some other liberal countries you'll face not much problems while visiting. On the other hand Pakistan has a closed society where you may find it difficult to get adjusted to fundamentalist views (not each and every Pakistani national is fundamentalist, anyway). Remember Jemima and Imran episode???!!! |
