I need help fast?

okay so here is the deal:
my grandma just got here from venezuela and she doesnt speak any english, i lived in mexcio most of my life but i have been living in the united states for abou three years now and havent really practiced my spanish lately, so i hesitate everytime i want to say something to my grandma. What can i do without totally avoiding talking to her or telling her that i havent been practicing my spanish lately [they would both hurt her]

I assume that you now live in the USA. Since your grandmother is now with you in the USA, encourage her to learn English. At the same time you will strengthen your Spanish speaking skills. This provides a perfect opportunity for the both you.

By the way, admitting your shortcomings to an older relative should never cause them any hurt. Rather, it should make them proud that you admit them and want to work on fixing them.

also y not try to teach her a bit of english, then she wont have to kno that u have slacked off
i say o well!!! if she cares just ignore her but if shes nice she shouldn't care. she should be proud of ur english
Just talk to her it will come back in no time, I am sure she would be understanding just explain it to her if you get stuck. Grandma always understands, usually no matter what.
