Has anyone ever been to Denmark?

Travel Info
I was viewing pictures on the comp. & I would love to visit but wanted to know what it's like. How friendly are the people that live there?

Travel Tips
The Kingdom of Denmark (Danish: Kongeriget Danmark) is the smallest and southernmost of the Nordic countries. Located north of Germany (its only land neighbour), southwest of Sweden, and south of Norway, it lies at 56掳 N 10掳 E, or, more precisely, between 54掳33鈥?5鈥砃, 8掳4鈥?2鈥矱 and 57掳45鈥?鈥砃, 15掳11鈥?5鈥矱 in Scandinavia in northern Europe, but not on the Scandinavian Peninsula.

Denmark borders the Baltic Sea and the North Sea, and consists of a peninsula named Jutland (Jylland) attached to Northern Germany, the islands of Funen (Fyn), Zealand (Sj忙lland), Bornholm (Bornholm) and many smaller islands, often referred to as the Danish Archipelago.

Denmark is a constitutional monarchy and is part of the European Union. Greenland and the Faroe Islands are crown territories of Denmark, each with political home rule.
Etymology

The etymology of Denmark (Danish: Danmark) is uncertain because there are so few old sources, and the experts have two interpretations of the name. Both groups say -mark is a wild forest (uninhabited territory or lawless no-man's land). Dan-mark means: 1. An occupied hollow in a wild forest or: 2. A forest or border by the Danes.

The old border of Norway to the north was Finmark, and the area of Sami or Lapp was at that time named "Fin." An inhabitant of Norway might have misunderstood or named Denmark in the same way (as in "the land of the Danes"). Source(s): http://www.answers.com/topic/denmark...

i havent been that answers ur question
Yes, I used to live there, and I was thinking of going back, but I am going to Norway instead for a couple of weeks. The people are friendly, and the facilities are clean and working, unlike some parts of UK. Try to learn some of the language, they will try English on you. Don't try to stick to Copenhagen, explore, Jutland, Fyn and Zealand. Not too many hills, ideal for a bike. Go in summer, winter is colder than UK, even though just across the water. go for it :-)
I went there for a short time back in the 80's. The people are very friendly and educated and speak very good english. The country is very modern and socially progressive. The scenery is awesome esp in the mid summer when the sun barely goes down.
