What is the best time of year to visit Thailand?

Travel Info
We are going to book a 4 week holiday to Thailand sometime between August and December next year. When would the weather be best? We want lots of sun and not too much rain! Thanks x

Travel Tips
Winter is nice not hott, but i live in Houston and Thailand is not much different as far as climate.

There really isn't a best time to go. Tsunamis can hit there at any time during the year specially in the summer months and in December. You can try spring or fall but there isn't a guarantee that you won't get hit by really bad weather. Good luck!
If you want lots of sun, go on August. People like the weather that month so it's going to be a peak season in Thailand on August, be sure to book your accomodations sometime before you go.
november - february is the peak season. It's winter in thailand but if compare to your country the weather would be consider as your spring and summer. Low humidity, dry and temperature vary 10 - 34 C during the day depending on what part of the country you visit. North would be ~ 10 - 30 swing and 22 - 34 C in the south or central part of the country.
I live in Thailand. I'd say December is the best time to go. It's rainy season in Thailand from May through to October, and the rainy weather can continue into November too.

December to February is the peak season in Thailand (ie when most tourists go to the country) because it's when there's the most sun and the coolest temperatures. From February it starts to get really hot until the rainy season begins again in May.

Have fun!
