Travel Info What's worth visiting/seeing in the caribbean islands on a 1 week trip ? Travel Tips Go to Ochos Rios in Jamaica. The island of Aruba is beautiful. Others Depends on where you go. But they all have recreational activities like parasailing, snorkeling, jet skiing, etc. There are different historic sites according to what island you are on. I recommend Sint Maarten/St. Martin, which is my favorite. There are only a few historic sites, but there is a great open air marketplace every Wednesday on the French side of the island in Marigot. I would say it would have to be St.Martin and also Aruba. Both the Islands are european. St. Martin is half French and half Dutch. Aruba is Dutch Island. You feel like u are in Europe in the Caribbean. U can't ask for more than that. Get the best of both worlds. Beautiful beaches, warm weather and nice people. From Toronto, Canada I have travelled to both Islands Aruba and St.Martin well...which island?....you got beaches...seeing the way people are...the way they live their life...foods...animals and insects...coconuts and palm trees....maybe there'll be a festival...wonderful music(played with unusual instruments...lots of bushes/jungles/rainforests and beautiful flowers actually growing there(beautiful orchids)...different fruits(that you've never seen before)...its just a totally different lifestyle than ur use to seeing....gives you a nice feeling inside...very tropical... just be safe and careful...some people aren't as nice and helpful as you think they are. i've been an island girl for 15 years....Trinidad and Tobago...other islands that are alot like this is...Barbados...St. Vincent and the Grenadines.....Grenada ..Antigua...etc Snorkelling. |
