My fellow Canadians and neighbours to the south......? |
Travel Info Have you ever visited your country of decent. By that I mean: I am Canadian, born and raised. However, I am 75% Scottish (25% French) heritage. So my "country of decent" is Scottland! Travel Tips So spend 75% of your time in Scotland and 25% in France. They're not that far apart! Both countries are decent and both of them are countries of your descent! Sorry couldn't resist pointing out the difference. Have a fantastic trip if you go and say hello to all your relatives for me, especially those in France. I love Paris!!! Others Not yet. I'd really like to go see Ireland one day though as that is the ancestral home. Uh Huh. IM from Washington. Yes! My background is Norwegian! (I am the first generation in America.) I visited Norway in 1995.... and it was wonderful! No, but I'd like to. I'm of varied descent from 6 or more nations, but mainly, I believe, Scotland and Poland. There's only one T in Scotland, btw, which is the common spelling, as far as I know. Scottish does have two Ts. I'm a US citizen whose ancestors came from many countries in Europe. I've been to Eurpoe but unfortunately none of the countries they came from! I went to Puerto Rico, awsome Island, very beautiful. Learned lots about my culture. |
