In England what is the difference between a road starting in M, A, or B?

Travel Info
eg M25, A1, B2027

Travel Tips
M = Motorway - restricted access high speed divided multi lane highway
A = major road. Part of a primary route forming a national network
B = lesser road

The difference is (roughly) how wide they are, and their speed limit.

Others
Agree but without sounding predantic, B roads are classed as Minor Roads. Just for the record.
