What is the best caravan site in Dorset? |
Travel Info Looking for beach, allows dogs & good walks Travel Tips We go to Highlands End Farm Holiday Park and it is great. Don't be put off that it is a 'Holiday Park', I wasn't too sure myself when we went last year. We all really enjoyed it and are going again this year. It is not really a Holiday Park in the traditional Hi-de-Hi sense of the word which is what I was dreading. It is in a great location overlooking the sea from rolling cliff top... plenty of beaches around. I have looked on our booking form and they have a website www.wdlh.co.uk (West Dorset Leisure Holidays). Phone number 01308 425672. They have 160 static pitches but also allow toureres and camping (we camp). If you don't think this is for you I totally recommend getting the AA Caravan & Camping Guide of Britain and Ireland. It rates all Caravan/Camping sites on a star rating and by what amenities they have. Very, very useful. Hope you find what you want. See you in Dorset!!! Mines a cream tea!! Others It has to be the Golden Cap campsite, at the foot of Golden Cap, just outside of Bridport. Its a very short walk to a pebble beach and the Anchor Inn (practically on the beach). My best childhood memories were made there. |
