What tips can I use to put more in my suitcase when I go to the UK in May? |
Travel Info What will the weather be in May in Eastern England and will the airports be crowded with the soccer fans headed to Germany for the World Cup? Travel Tips Q.1 - rolling your clothes is good advice. Put socks and underwear in your shoes, and bring versatile, non-iron clothes. Consider trousers where you can zip the legs off to get shorts, they're not as ugly as they used to be. Consider hiking clothes: usually lightweight materials which do keep you warm, and you may find a substitute for bulky sweaters. Use your shampoo to rinse t-shirts, underwear, then roll wet clothes in a towel and walk on the towel to squeeze out moisture. Then hang clothes to dry overnight and use the next day. If appropriate, take a backpack instead of a suitcase: I usually manage to stuff in more. Q.2 - the weather will probably include a mix of rain and occassional sunshine. Q.3 - The football starts on 9th June, so the airports shouldn't be affected in May. Others I can only answer one of your queries, the weather will be changeable, it's always changeable no matter what time of year it is. I'd suggest bringing summer clothes, a waterproof jacket and a jumper. To get more into the suitcase, roll your cloths up instead of trying to lay them in flat. You may get wrinkles, but you will be able to pack more. if uv gotta take a towel....lie it flat at the bottom of the suitcase and then lie ur clothes on top!.....dont ask y but it seems to take up less space I live in eastern england and we get lots of east coast winds, wear jeans t shirts and jumpers, also best bring a rain coat. roll up clothes in case xx |
