What to do whilst camping in the Norfolk Broads? |
Travel Info Were camping for two nights over the easter weekend some 10 miles south of Cromer - anything of interest to do in the area?? Travel Tips there's a windmill just south of Mundesley - visit Happisburgh (pronounced hays-brough) Lighthouse and see the massive coastal erosion (the town is slipping into the sea) - the steam train at Sheringham - brilliant food at the Lighthouse Pub just south of Bacton (only don't strike any matches as you go past the Bacton gas terminal) - and do go up the little coastguard lookout on Mundesley promenade and visit the volunteers who man the coastal radar - if you've got time the boat trips to see the seals offshore from Blakeney are great (even better still is to walk out but you need time and energy to do that) - visit Sandringham - if you're into religion and history think about Our Lady of Walsingham (they have Easter pilgrimages there) have fun !! Other Travel Tips The north Norfolk coast has alot to see, if you go beyond Cromer further west there are plenty of nice towns and villages. Sherringham, Cley, Blakeney and Wells have a bit to see and some nice places to visit. Otherwise you've got the Broads and Norwich to the south if you fancy seeing the city, it also has a bit to see like the cathedral. Hope this helps |
