What's the best way to get from Reading to Blackpool on a Monday morning? |
Travel Info I've just started a new job that means I have to commute from Reading to Preston every week. I need to be in the office for about 10:30. Anyone know the path of least resistance? Joking aside you would be better off going up on the Saturday/Sunday evening and staying over The obvious route is the M4 then the dreaded M5 and then whichever road goes to Preston. I don't need to tell you about the traffic in the morning if you live in Reading - but most of it is heading in the other direction to where you want to be. Maybe it's not as bad as it sounds as most of the 'bad' traffic is going where you've just been You will have to experiment with setting off times/routes and I'm sure you will find the right time/route Good luck in your new job!!! Others There's an 06.05 train from Reading to Blackpool North. Arrives there at 10.22. you have to change at Birmingham and Preston. If you book far enough in advance (which should be no problem as you'll be travelling every week) you can get a cheap single for 拢12.50 |
