Has anyone ever been to Stirling Scotland? |
Travel Info I was thinking of moving there, any advice? Travel Tips I have been there often, although several years ago. But it is a beautiful city, with a magnificent Castle, overlooking the whole valley. It's a small town really, but has all that you need, and Edinburgh and Glasgow aren't that far away, for your big city events. I loved visiting the Castle, as it is the home of the Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders, which was my Father's regiment. So I have an emotional tie to the city. Check out their web site, I am sure they have a load of information, you can use, to decide on your move. Others i was there in dreams been there may times when i was young that was in the 70s it was great. do not know what it is like now. Bruce Willis has been there.Or was it Bruce and Wallace?I can't remember clearly. My history teacher. Yes, it's very near Glasgow, enough reason not to go I think! Actually it's supposed to be a very nice place to live, I'd suggest visiting before committing! I grew up in stirlingshire. It is a really nice place, and it is nothing like Glasgow! Hardly any crime, good public services, 3rd best shopping in Scotland. Unfortunatly the house prices are going thru the roof, and it's hard to get a house in the town. |
