Travel Info Where is the best place to be in Scotland? Travel Tips In the hills and by the sea... actually Orkney Isles is a very nice place. Best to stay away from the tourist traps such as Edinburgh, for a real Scottish experience. Others Airport on the way out. somewhere, anywhere in highlands Edinburgh - Its great! Edinburgh Edinburgh is wonderful with its magnificent castle and shops. It's steeped in history and I found it wasn't so expensive as some of the big cities. If you mean place to live and work then it has to be Glasgow or Edinburgh. If you mean a place to visit and spend some time then it has to be the north west coast. Beaches, hills, lochs, glens, castles, quiet villages - it really is beautiful - and there are so many great spots. If you have the time and energy then getting to the islands (like Skye, which is probably the easiest) is fantastic. |
