What do you think about England?????/? |
Travel Info What do you think about England?????/? Travel Tips I am an American that has been living in England for about 8 months now. It does rain like everyone tells you, but it doesn't downpour like it does in the states. It seems to drizzle quite frequently. It has winter's like the southern US, not quite freezing, but still cold. The summer temp is cool in the mornings and evenings, but the days can get quite warm, maybe upper 70s, 80 degrees. If you are a meat and potato fan than England is for you. They love their meat. The also love to drink. There is no such thing as getting together for a beer in England, you get together for many beers. People love going to pubs here. sitting relaxing, talking and drinking. If you like Indian food, England is also good, next to fish and chips, curry is the next biggest thing. Lots of interesting castles, abbeys, cathedrals and landscapes throughout the country. The coast is pretty cool as well. I like the convenience of mini markets that don't actually rip you off like the convenient stores in the states. THeir prices are similar to the supermarket prices. Lots of old historic places to visit. If you like Roman, Saxon, Viking and tudor history, this is the place for you. Cons - things are expensive. But, I find that to be true of things under 拢100. Once you get up to computers, sofas and electronics, they are equivalent with the exchange rate. Things like restaurant, gas, milk, and other everyday items are expensive. The vast majority of people live in meager homes relative to the US. I personally could do with more space. Kitchens are usually small as are bedrooms and living rooms. Overall I like it, but then again, I'm not going to stay here forever. Probably great to visit, okay to live. Others I think its insecure I think it's cold and foggy all the time with stiff, formal people. Everything's expensive there, too. But I'd like to go there sometime. love it. I am not sure what your refering to. But i think i would like to visit sometime. I just came back from my 1st trip there and I loved it. So much history, such a different culture in so many ways. Plus, it's in my blood so I am naturally drawn there. A bit spendy though...gas, fags, train fare. - nice natur especialy fog (i like it) - nice food (sausage) - smart peopele - one of famues history on Earth - praty women - gay man it'll do. |
