Where is the thames valley ? |
Travel Info Where is the thames valley ? Travel Tips It's basically the valley through which the River Thames runs. In its early stages it is known as the River Isis. Its source lies in a Gloucestershire meadow near Cricklade, then it passes through the towns and cities of Lechlade, Oxford, Abingdon, Wallingford, Reading, Henley, Marlow, Maidenhead, Windsor, Staines, Kingston and Teddington. The counties it passes through are Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Berkshire. I live in Oxfordshire, and it is one of the most beautiful parts of England. Source(s): There's a lot more info on one of the sites run by the Environment Agency http://www.visitthames.co.uk/ftrip1.html... Other Travel Tips There is a Thames Valley in North Island, New zealand. http://www.thamesvalleyguide.co.uk... In England. Modified 11 months ago city of London UK I agree - there's nothing better than Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. |
