My husband need a birth certificate so he can get a passport? |
Travel Info but he doesn't know which city he was born in. He thinks the state is either Michigan or Florida. I can't find a way to search public records by state, only city. He has no living family. Any suggestions? Thanks! Travel Tips Hi Lily ... The link below will lead you to the right place .... Source(s): http://www.vitalrec.com/ Other Travel Tips I am not sure if this will work but maybe if he checks with the Social Security Administration they will have a record since he had to get a SS# when he was born. He could try contacting the elementary school he attended. The information heneeds could be on those records if they still exist. Or, if he attended a church as a child, he could contact them. If he was baptized, there may be records that could help. Another source could be a doctor he visited as a child. just did some research and found 2 sites where you can get birth certificates from Michigan. They are listed below. Also, same for Florida...and then there is a nation wide site that helps you find birth certificates in any state. michigan.gov/mdch/0,1607,7-132... birth-certificates.net/michiga... doh.state.fl.us/planning_eval/... birthcertificatesusa.com You will have to submit fees to both Florida and Michigan to have them do searches. Unfortunately, he will have to know what county he was born in, in most cases. He should contact the Vital Statistics offices in both of those states. Contact Florida Vital Statistics at (904) 359-6900 Ext. 1029. Contact Michigan Vital Statistics at (517) 335-8666. |
