Is March a good time to visit Pensacola, FL?

Travel Info
To visit the ocean.

Travel Tips
Well, that depends on where you are from. The temp. in March is pretty much in the 70's. and very sunny. There is not much rain usually during the Spring, which is why Florida is such a popular destination for Spring Breakers. As far as actually swimming, Floridians would not swim in March, but I have seen plenty of tourists in the water in March!

Others
No, it'll still be pretty cold. Pensacola is pretty far north by Florida standards. The average high temperature for March is 70, lows in the 50s and water temperatures of 63 degrees...not toasty. Also 6.5 inches of rain fall on average so not a lot of sun either. If you want to visit the ocean in March, head to Key West. There you'll find 75 degree water temperatures, with highs near 80 and March is the second driest month of the year, so lots of sun !
Another thing for your consideration. Every Midwest College has spring break in March through Easter week. You will be competing for hotels, flights, and rental cars. prices tend to go up and everything gets crowed and rowdy. But maybe you're looking for the "party".
