Best Place to live for thunderstorms? |
Travel Info We are trying to leave Miami. I would like to move to an area that has mild weather year round, humidity does not bother me, as I grew up in Miami. But I would like to live somewhere diverse, near the ocean with great thunderstorms ( I love the lightning shows), and had a low cost of living. As for near the ocean I don't mind an hour os so's drive. Where should we consider moving to and why? Travel Tips I live on the other side of the state, below Tampa. The gulf beaches are beautiful and in the summer, almost every afternoon we get thunderstorms. As far as a lower cost of living, we beat Miami. Others i dont know but i want to move to the same place i like storms to. Oklahoma isn't near the ocean but they have a lot of thunder storms and TORNADO'S. Remember that many places that have a lot of thunderstorms have tornado's. N. Dak., Minn., and there's an area in Canada called "Thunderstorm Alley." It's a strip running East from Winnipeg to Thunder Bay. Las Vegas! the world's best tunderstorms are in the great plains of the united states... a native flatlander, i grew up with amamzing storms of nebraska... you can see them for miles and miles before they actually reach you.... such beauty and force.... neb, kansas, south dakota, oklahoma... no ocean nearby, unless you count the oggalla aquafer that the state sits atop.... cost of living is dirt cheap compared to fla... put it's a slower kind of life... you probably won't like it being a florida native.. |
