How should I stage the days to complete the West Highland Way in 5 days, rather than 6, starting from Drymen? |
Travel Info I think it's only 80 miles if you start from Drymen and is easy to do in 6 days but I want to do it in 5. This is 16 miles a day , which should be fine, but need know what stops to make. Travel Tips I've only walked parts around Loch Lomond, so I had to resort to a website to find you a suitable itinerary. From Drymen, it's split up as follows: day 1 to Rowardennan 15m day 2 to Inverarnan 14m part challenging day 3 to (Transfer to Bridge of Orchy) Walk to Kingshouse 12m day 4 to Kinlochleven 9m moderate/challenging day 5 to Fort William 14m moderate/challenging Not sure how that transfer works. Have a look at the itinerary breakdown provided by this site: http://www.macsadventure.com/walking_hol... I also think these sites will be useful: http://www.west-highland-way.co.uk/mainf... http://walking.visitscotland.com/... Have a wonderful time! |
