On one side, which is smaller than the other side, is carved in Greek. Iota Sigma, Chi Sigma, Nu Iota, Kappa Alpha. The other side is more of the same but with pictures. In the four corners is carved sunbeams coming out of the sun it appears. Then 9 triangle thingys stacked in rows of three. The other side has six triangle things with several lines carved in the wood. Travel Tips It's a traditional wooden seal for stamping "holy bread" that orthodox christians usually offer to the church in the memory of someone that passed away. This bread is a round loaf and is sealed before it is baked. The letters that are engraved are the first and last letters of the words Jesus Christ 螜(螚危螣违)危 围(巍螜危韦螣)危 and then the word 螡螜螝螒 which means: is victorious. Pieces of these breads are used in the orthodox communion representing the body of JC together with red wine which represents the blood. Others i am Greek and i am having a hard time understanding what you mean, especially the word you are trying to express. please more details ps. i could help if you knew what he thinks he was buying Modified 1 year ago it is used when making the "holy bread"....it is the STAMP |
