Travel Info Villa vicky in lesvos has anyone been. if so what is it like? Travel Tips Don't know Villa Vicki, but was in Lesvos in 2002 and loved it. It's very different from most of the Greek islands, it's nearly like a country in itself. One tip - avoid the capital Mytilini and head for Molivos, in the north of the island, also known as Mythimna. It's a town built into a sheer rock face and is stunning. Hope wherever you've booked, it's around there! Source(s): www.lesvosportal.com www.lesvos.com Other Travel Tips Don't know about Villa Vicky, but I love Lesvos. I visited last summer. This is straight from my travel blog: "And so by the beginning of August, we have reached our final destination, the Greek island of Lesvos. Months after our trip, I accidentally picked up the National Geographic Traveler magazine, which was touting the yet undiscovered "next hot destinations." I quickly browsed to the Mediterranean section and was surprised to see Lesvos. After visiting that place, I thought I stumbled onto a wonderful and well-shielded secret. Now, it seems the secret is out. With just a bit of imagination, Lesvos can take you back a hundred years and absorb you into a slow-paced life of a true Mediterranean village. There you can walk the countless olive groves, wonder around steep and narrow village streets, and meet great simple people of a bygone era. The reason for this is quite simple. Lesvos happens to be outside the usual Greek island trail. Though it has some tourists coming in anyway, it is mostly insulated from the world of cruise ships and immersed in the local culture and character." Hope that helps! Modified 1 year ago |
