What is the best way to get from Dubrovnik, Croatia to Athens, Greece? |
Travel Info I'm looking for cheap but quick transportation... Travel Tips Every summer charter bus starts from all over Europe. I suppose the best way is by train till Serbia and then by train to Thessaloniki and then by train to Athens. That is of course if you can afford an airplane. But try on www.easyjet.com and you might find something cheap there. The site for the trains is www.ose.gr and for the buses in greece www.ktel.gr Others A plane I guess, but I m not sure there is a direct flight. You ll either have to contact a charter flight office in your area or find a flight to a neighboring country (e.g. Sofia-Bulgaria) and then a catch a train to Athens... Anyway, good luck to you! I recommend the Ferryboat ... it is fast, no traffic jams, no annoying police controls, and it is also some kind like a cruise ... Fly. It can be cheap if you plan ahead. You can also go by bus but it will take forever (around 18 hours or more) the buses are terrible the border stops make it all worse and the mountains are hard to get through and add a lot to the trip. Unless you are a hardened travel I would fly. That's really not that far of a drive, plus you get to see a lot of southeastern europe. it actually sounds like a bad-*** road trip. the mountains are kind of a pain, but quite beautiful. i'd take the train or drive. have a good trip anyways. Try to see if there is a bus fare for your destination, cause they're usually the cheapest, then try rail and lastly air. Traveled through Europe! |
