How accessible is Delphi? |
Travel Info How accessible for a wheelchair-user is Delphi? Travel Tips The ruins are not easily accessible cause one follows the original ancient path on a slope of a mountain. There are ramps for the museum visit which is also very important.Should you need more info contact me at ecogina2004@yahoo.gr Source(s): Licensed guide in Greece Other Travel Tips I have麓t been to Delphi yet ... but I visited a lot of other archeological excavations in this area, there are a lot of stones, no "streets" as we know it ... so I wouldn麓t recommend it for wheelchair-users or people who have problems with walking (old people,...) Not very. You can get into the museum with few problems, but you have to climb up/down to the actual site. Part of the climb is dirt ramps, but they are kind of steep. The town & surrounding area of Delphi are extremely pretty though, so it's worth it just for the view. |
