Travel Info What are your thoughts about greece and its peopole? Travel Tips An interesting people. They manage to be arrogant and humble at the same time. They are very hospitible as their tradition demands. They are extremely opinionated and full of life. They are usually very intelligent and very well-educated, but they don't seem to be very efficient. This is partly because they shrug their shoulders too soon and say, Ti na kanoume? What can we do? They accept things the way they are, no matter how little sense it makes, and tell you you are "thinking too much like an American" if you say that something they think is impossible is actually possible. It's hard not to love them, but at the same time, sometimes they are so frustrating and maddening that you just want to scream. They carry a bit of a chip on their shoulders about how low they think their country has fallen since being the birthplace of democracy, and will tell you that "your people were living in caves while their people were bulding the Acropolis and writing the Iliad." Greece is wonderful, and that is due in large part to its people. I hope this sounds as affectionately put as I mean it. Others Use to kanow a greek grandmother... lived in So calif. That lady made the best food!!!! Beautiful country. Wonderful food. Nice people. Amazing history. The food is awesome! I HATE IT WHEN THIS HAPPENS TO ME...DOESN'T ANYONE ELSE THINK YAHOO ANSWERS SHOULD GIVE YOU A WAY TO MODIFY YOUR QUESTION....CASE IN POINT The island of crete, the southernmost part of greece would be an awesome place to visit. Uh.. I don't really know. I studied it's history though, for half a year at school. It's very interesting - well it was a pain in the neck when I studied it. On the other hand it's a nice place to visit! |
