If you do they'll rip you apart. Cops know that a lot of tourists on bikes do not have a license so they tend to look the other way. Usually a cop will not stop you just to check on your license, they'll need to give them a reason like not wearing a helmet, ridding more that two persons or getting into an accident. Others By Law yes, but we Greeks are notorious for...bending the rules so I wouldn't be surprised if you rented one without even showing an ID, especially in the islands during summertime. You will need a licence to rent the scooter initially. This can be a provisional or full, motorcycle or car. There should be no issues unless you have an accident. You may find that regular holiday insurance does not cover 'dangerous sports', and mopeds and scooters somehow fall in to that category!!! not really. My brother forgot his Drivers licence at home, and for the rental service was enough to have only a faxcopy of the licence. So I think they dont care about that... |
